Abbi Pflum (she/her), Campaign Manager
Abbi is a senior at UW-Green Bay studying Communication with an emphasis in Journalism and Public Relations, as well as, Political Science. Abbi is originally from Rosendale, Wisconsin, but moved up to Green Bay for school. She started with the team as an intern in January 2022 and has been with the campaign ever since. Since starting with the team, Abbi has found a love of politics and working for campaigns. In her free time, she loves to read, go on hikes, and go for boba. In the future, she hopes to work on more campaigns and gain even more experience in the political world.

Liv Miller (they/them), Field Director
Liv graduated from UW-Madison with degrees in Environmental Studies
and Political Science, focusing especially on public health and policy.
Their previous work experience includes employment as a COVID-19
Contact Tracer, data and compliance administrator for the progressive
fundraising organization Telefund, and Chief of Staff to State
Representative Jimmy Anderson.
Quickly coming to love the community they found after moving to Green
Bay in early 2020, they got involved in local politics and started
periodically crossing paths with Kristina. They officially joined the team
in the summer of 2021. An avid believer in democracy, justice for
marginalized populations, and the bright future that comes from investing
in our communities, Liv is deeply grateful for the opportunity to help
Kristina’s vision for Wisconsin come to life.

Emily Smith (she/her), Fundraising Director and Treasurer
Emily has over 20 years of fundraising experience— running door-to-door
canvasses, phone fundraising programs, orchestrating events, and high
donor campaigns. She currently works for a National field and phone
fundraising company that specializes in raising funds for progressive
candidates and causes. In her spare time, Emily runs marathons, bakes
boatloads of cookies, plays ultimate frisbee, skis with her husband, and
does the mom thing for two amazing daughters.
Eliza Cussen (she/her), Communications Director
Eliza has 15 years' experience in strategic communications for nonprofits and progressive campaigns in the United States and Australia. Her experience spans reproductive justice, LGBTQ equality, and disability rights. A widely-published author, she is currently a political columnist for the Green Bay City Pages.
She graduated from Macquarie University, Sydney with a Bachelor of Media studies and completed a fellowship with the Wisconsin Women's Network Policy Institute. She lives in Green Bay's east side with her partner, toddler, and cat.

Carl Woitekaitis (he/him), Field Coordinator
Carl is a recent edition to the team. He joined the campaign as an intern
in the summer of 2021. He happily accepted a role with the campaign
after graduating from UW-Green Bay with a major in Political Science
and a minor in Democracy and Justice Studies. He lives in the area with
his wife and son. Carl said about working with the campaign, “The team
has been so supportive during my time as an intern and finishing my last
semester at UW-Green Bay. Rep. Shelton and the whole team’s commitment
to helping families is inspiring. I want to be able to help continue on the
work the team has done for the last few years. It is important that voices
like Rep. Shelton are heard in Madison and the country.”
